Hitting the road,ETA .... Sunday!

Now this is more like it. I got to read 2 posts today!! I'm getting spoiled.
I'm about to hit the road and just wanted to give you all my number. I bought a cheap little phone for the drive. 902 292 5711. Its a halifax number so I'll have it when I get back too. I know its a little morbid but I also wanted to say I love you guys before I left. It's a long drive to do alone and while I'm sure nothing will go wrong; you never know. I'm excited to see all of you.Should be in NS by Sunday/Monday depending on the weather.I hope your all doing well, talk to you soon.

I'm Pregnant

Oh wait that is just my beer gut .
So here it is, the long awaited post from your long lost brother. First i feel i need to explain myself. Work has been crazy because it is coming to an end for me, literally we hire my replacement on Saturday and so i've had about 10 different projects i was madly trying to wrap-up. Couple that with the fact that i can't concentrate on two things at once and i end up going into hiding for a month.

Nevertheless, i'm back now and Mrs. D i'd expect a call tomorrow evening from me. Also, kirsten says hello.

To the right you'll find a picture from the wedding, we finally got our pictures back and i've been working on getting them all together(another lil project), soon i'll post a link to an online photoalbum of sorts so you can all see them. We decided to do a thank you card with a link to a website with pictures and video from the wedding, so we need to print those and get them in the main soon too!

I never got the chance to thank you guys for being so very awesome during thw x-mas and wedding season. Tam and K taking care of Dad and providing me with an escape from the house and kirsten:) , Scott and Linda juggling families and schedules and getting us our flower girls, jamie taking such good care of my co-workers... oh and mom and beth and adam doing a lot of little things that having just married they knew needed to be done. So thank you all sooooo much. (That parahgrph brought to you by brother neil, sister in law kirsten and the letter C)

On to much more important things. In one year we went from a family of renting/unmarried scattered accross the country brother and sisters to a well-oiled marrying/house buying/moving accross the country to home finally kinda family. This is impressive. I second the urge for you to drive carefully Jamie and unbelievably excited for both tammy and scott. I'm hoping beth and adam come home early so adam and I can play some golf and drink some corona's. It's not the i miss you less beth, i just keep my mind occupied (school teachers have too much free time :)

The situation here is not too bad. There is some interest in the house however one potential buyer might require me finding him tenets for the house which won't be easy. I'll try my best but its pretty late to put a house on the market. Mom is having more good days than bad now which is really good. I'm trying to be home more often and now i'm starting to spend more time actually in the living room with mom instead of in my room. She has had to change her tv habits a bit for me and i'm listening to many more god stories but we're making it work. Tonight Kirsten had to work late so mom and i had a soup and biscuit date. It was good.

On the personal front, i like being married. I purchased a large and small monkey combo for v-day for kirsten, we've named the big guy chocola and cocco and have agreed they are our kids for now. When we get a dog however, the monkeys will act as grandparents for the dog and thus will have to mature greatly(they're very silly now with their furry long arms)

Professionally, kirsten has re-applied for her job and will hear about her interview next week. I am confident i'll be offered a job soon at X and am excited about the potential for learning and doing innovative things here. So it seems we'll be in Antigonish for a while. We have a plan to be debt free by x-mas, we call it freedom 25, unless kiki gets a bun in the oven or we lose our jobs we should be able to make it happen.

Anyway, this is getting long, however i went for a run tonight so i want to put all stephens on notice, there is a 15% chance i'll be running the bluenose half-marathon with tam. Of course that means there is an 85% chance i'll be loaded the night before with scott and jamie so who knows.

Nevertheless, kirsten and I love you all, thanks for hosting us last weekend tammy, Brianna's b-day was great scott and we look forward to seeing jamie in the flesh very soon. Oh beth, tell adam i got his FB message and will respong shortly, i just prcrastinate,

much love,
Neilo and kirsten

One Stove Down One House to Sell

Well Mom's stove is in Sackville we just need her and the rest of her stuff. Well I say thanks for big windows because if not there wouldn't have been any stoves getting moved between Sackville and Antigonish. I have discovered that my new place has some narrow doorways but the windows are a good size. By the way in case some of you haven't heard we actually bought the house from Billy and Connor MacIntyre - small world. Now we just need Mom to get that house sold and get back to the bright lights of the HRM. Hey Beth just so you know Neil still exists I saw him when I delivered the stove to Mom, but he apparently has forgotten how to use phones, computers etc. and blog what the hell is that? Or maybe the missus just won't allow him to do these things anymore. Mexico Beth? Isn't that just just South of Athabasca? I thought you'd go somewhere further away. Actually I am so jealous because I really love Athabasca. Anyway J if you get this before you leave good luck, see you soon and drive safe. Tam I'll have a paint brush in your hand before long but when it comes time to return the favor please... anything but painting. Neil it was nice to see you as quick as it was but who am I kidding you won't see this!!!

Love you all very much!!!

Missing you guys terribly

Hey Family,

I too am glad to see that there as been new life given to the blog..I was missing my daily updates. So happy to hear that things have been settled with the housing situations and I can't wait to see both of your guys new homes...I am sure they will be amazing! You both should be very proud..it takes a lot of guts to make such a large investment and to better your life in that way...you are an example to the rest of us!

As for you J....you shocked the hell out of me when you told me the oether day you were moving home on Wednesday....I can't believe you are making such a quick decision but I trust that you know what you are doing! I know mom and Kim will be happy yo have you in the area... Dad, Scott, Tammy, and Neil might also be happy about it...doubtful though! Please be careful driving back...I know I am going to be worried about you the whole time you are on the road..so please drive safely and be cautious.

Neil, Neil, Neil, ..where do I even start? I leave you phone messages, call the house, call your cell, send you emails...and yet there is no reply..I finally track you down when you are in Halifax with Dad and you assure me it's just been "crazy busy" and that this week for sure we are going to chat...well I won't hold my breath on that one...if I sound bitter, it's because I am...I guess I just miss you a lot more than you miss me...well, I guess that's just something I'll have to come to terms with...

As for Adam and I, we are doing well. We just got back from a couple days in Edmonton where I had a teachers convention. The convention itself was great and I got a lot of great ideas while I was there and the rest of the weekend was also terrific...we stayed downtown at a really nice hotel and everything was paid for by the district so it was nice to splerge a little! Now we are back to the grind of work but in only 18 short days we will be off to Mexico for March Break. We are very excited, we are staying at an all inclusive hotel that just opened in 2007 and we have the platinum suite..with all the perks...above all else I am looking foward to experiencing weather that is warmer than -30 (which is what it this morning!). When we get back we will be in April and into the home stretch...we are still not sure when exactly we will be coming home...not sure if we will leave the second school is done of if we will wait until the end of July...either way we are looking forward to getting on NS soil for good.

Alright, well I better get abck to my job here...good to hear from you all and lets make sure we keep on blogging...I miss you guys enough everyday and without the blog I was lost..lets keep it up.

Love you guys,
Beth
